Now…

Into the weeds.

I’ve spent the past 15.5 years of my life in sales & marketing.

Not many people know this. But even when I was at Uni, I was freelancing.

I’d design the newsletter ads for a luxury bedding brand called Zonesleep.

(they’re still around, the site’s changed since I built it, but it’s here.)

After Uni my career went a bit like this:

  • Starting selling houses Got fired (I’d already handed in my notice)

  • Moved to selling Microsoft Dynamics - Mostly cold calling

  • Started selling Energy software - Got made redundant

  • Got a job selling construction software (on the same day I got made redundant)

  • Started selling chicken monitoring services (no joke)

  • Moved back to selling Dynamics - With the same company as before

  • Moved on to selling Sage Intacct & SAP

In the last 2 jobs I was flying.

I was a great salesperson.

And I used systems to do more in less time.

I then found time to create content.

And this is how many of you know me.

But it’s been tough.

My brand has changed 4 times.
My newsletter has changed 4 times.
My writing topics have changed even more than that.

Why?

I was forcing myself to write about things I:

A) Wasn’t experienced in
B) Didn’t enjoy

So, what do I enjoy that I have experience in?
